Our Experience During Field Trip :)

Location :Sungai Pinang 1(behind the Japanese school)
Date :19 October 2011
Time :8 am -12 noon

A total of 10 students went to the site. We study the nitrate contentphosphate, coliform (bacteria), turbidity (water clarity), temperature and pH of river water. Plants that grow along the river are herbaceous plants. Organisms that we found is grasshoppers, butterflies, birds, mosquitoes, ants and lizards.
Unusual objects found on the banks of the river is a cow skull.

In addition, we also interviewed two workers who were cleaning the Sungai Pinang river. According to them everyday they pick up the garbage at two large trash bins. They also found that unusual objects such as the bicycle, car exhaust, dead animals such as dogs and cats. Living organisms that they never saw the lizards and fish.
We were on our way home we stopped to Telemetric Station in Sungai Pinang nearby Rawana mosque. We interviewed Mr. Osman ,who worked there. He said there were a machine that can measure rainfall and water level measuring river. He said the water level in the alert level is 2.1 meters and is the danger level of 2.7 meters.Throughout his work there, the worst record was recorded in Sungai Pinang is 3 metres in the year 2008.

Location :Sungai Pinang 2(next to the stadium)
Date :24 October 2011
Time :8 am - 11 am

A total of 5 students accompanied by 2 teachers escort.
Five River Rangers went to the second location. We do the same activity as the first visit. We also examine the goods thrown into the river. Among the items found in the river is plastic, paper, bottles, cans, polystyrene, pads, tires, rubber hoses, shoes, raincoat, plates, cutlery steel, cups, drinking straws, disposable diapergifts wrapping, sweets wrapping, banana fibreglass and plants.
We also interviewed the employee in charge of Information center of Sungai Pinang and he shows four small pieces of tortoise found in the Sungai Pinang. We also briefed on rainwater systems, food processing machinery to be used as fertilizer and animal feed and undertaken activities to beautify and clean up Sungai Pinang.
As we were there, we also have the opportunity to interview employees in the maintenance of the reservoir system iQPR. The system uses a water based on Taiwan technology for cleaning the Sungai Pinang.

Location :Botanical Garden
Date :31 October 2011
Time :8 am - 12 noon

We left the school at about 8:10 am after the weekly gathering.
We perform the same activities as on-site 1 and 2. While we want to conduct a study, Safiuddin has found large frog. Iqram try to help, but they both failed to catch the frog. After that, our teacher down to the river and catch the frog. We measure the length of the frog (the frog's hind foot length is 21cm). This is the first time we found a huge toad. While on the way back to the car, we stopped at the office of the Malaysian Nature Society, we see a leech attached to the foot of one of the River Rangers. Our advisory teachers draw the leeches and blood out of the leech bite from the foot of River Rangers. According to our consultant teacher, when a leech bite victims, the liquid will be issued by the leech is to ensure that blood does not clot. Lessons learned from this incident is brought tobacco/salt to separate the leech of the victims. If there is no tobacco/salt can use the ashes.
